vmware

Do you ever wish you had more than one computer at your desk? Ever need to run an old application that won't run on Windows XP? Well, VMware is the answer. VMware Workstation is a program that lets you create a"virtual" computer on your own hard drive. I use this on my laptop to run Linux and other Windows-based computers, as well as on our servers. VMware is very comparable to Microsoft's Virtual PC, however, in my opinion, VMware is much more mature product, especially in the server environment. There is no VMware option for Apple computers at this time.

login correctly

If you currently have to press Control+Alt+Delete to login to your computer, you may have noticed that when you do it in a Virtual Machine that it also happens on your laptop/desktop, which, of course, you don't want. The answer is to press Control+Alt+Insert to login. This is the keyboard shortcut dedicated to virtual machines by VMware.
