picasa by google

Picasa is a free program developed by Google to help you manage and perform basic touchup actions to your digital pictures. It is a great program because it is small, does not take up a lot of your computers resources [memory, hard drive space, cpu, etc.], and has great performance for that it does.

When installing Picasa, I choose the Scan only My Documents, My Pictures, and Desktop. This will look for pictures in those 3 places, organize them as you choose, and should provide you a great way to work with your pictures, especially if, like me, you have a ton of digital pictures!

Customize your main Picasa windows to show you how few or how many pictures you desire. If you want to see them all, drag the slider at the bottom right-hand corner to the left. If you want to see only a few, drag the slider to the right.
